Biographies of Speakers

Below, a brief biography of the speakers can be found:

Martin Beisel is a research associate at the Institute of Architecture of Application Systems (IAAS) at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. He received his master’s degree at the University of Stuttgart in Software Engineering in 2020. His research interests are in the field of quantum software engineering.

Jose Garcia-Alonso is an Associate Professor at the University of Extremadura, Spain, where he completed his Ph.D. in software engineering in 2014. He is the PI of the QServ project at the University of Extremadura for the development and deployment of quantum services.

Juan M. Murillo is a Full Professor at the University of Extremadura, Spain. His research interests include software architectures, pervasive and mobile computing, and quantum computing. Murillo holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Extremadura, where he is currently the PI of the QHealth project where quantum computing is applied in the pharmacogenomics domain.

Benjamin Weder works as a research associate at the IAAS. He received his master’s degree from the University of Stuttgart in Computer Science in 2018. He is the technical lead of the EniQmA project at the IAAS, developing techniques for holistic quantum software engineering and a corresponding toolchain.
